post- playlist
Welcome back to the second in a series of playlists, brought to you by Post- and College Hill’s very own homegrown talent. We asked, and they answered: songs they love, loathe, sing in the shower, draw inspiration from and even (thanks to a certain bluegrass quintet) make love to. This continuing series showcases their selections:
DosstheArtist and The PGA Tour
DosstheArtist and The PGA Tour may be too many for your average Ratty table, and just one person short of constituting an official SAO student group but, topping out at nine members, they do have enough man-power to staff an intramural team, a supreme court, or one hell of a musical collective. Lucky for us, they’ve chosen the latter.
Not quite satisfied with the traditional college band arrangement (guitar-bass-drums-keysifyou’relucky), this outfit layers on the brass, combining a part-jazz, part-big band sound with the smooth flow of lyricist Gabe Doss ’10. You’ve probably caught them somewhere; after winning a battle of the bands competition, they opened for Of Montreal in last Spring Weekend’s Saturday afternoon show, and they’ve also been regulars at King House events this year. For their playlist, the guys broke it down according to each member’s picks:
